Chicago Service Area Map

Right Away serves Chicago from our shop at 2093 Rand Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016. This map page gathers every dedicated Chicago page in one place: the neighborhoods we work in most often and the services we run there. Chicago addresses are reached at 773-250-6060.

Neighborhoods we serve

Each neighborhood page covers the plumbing, heating, cooling and mechanical work those buildings usually need.

On the south side, see our dedicated Hyde Park service page.

Chicago services

Dedicated Chicago pages for the work we are called out for most, written around the city's older homes, two-flats and multi-unit buildings.

For the problems we see most often in city buildings, read our Chicago plumbing and HVAC guides.

Using this page to find the right Chicago service

Find your neighborhood, then choose the service that matches the symptom. Chicago bungalows and two-flats often have hot water or steam boilers, original cast-iron or clay sewer laterals and basement flood control systems, so the boiler, sewer and flood control pages are a good place to start for those buildings.

If you rent or manage a unit, note the building address, which floor is affected and where the shut-off valves are. Call 773-250-6060 with that information so we can match the call to the right service.

How to use this map

This page groups every Chicago page we have built in one place: neighborhood pages, Chicago service pages and local guides. Start with your neighborhood if it is listed, or go straight to the service that matches your problem.

Chicago housing varies a lot from one area to the next. Northwest Side bungalows, North Side two-flats and South Side vintage courtyard buildings each have their own typical heating and plumbing setups, from steam boilers and radiators to older cast-iron drains and basement sewer connections.

If your neighborhood is not listed

A neighborhood missing from the map does not mean we do not work there. Call 773-250-6060, tell us the address and what is going on, and we will let you know whether we can help and when.

When you call, it helps to know the type of building, where the boiler, furnace or water heater is located, and whether the problem affects one unit or the whole building.

Common problems in Chicago buildings

Steam systems in older two-flats and courtyard buildings often bang or heat unevenly when radiators are not pitched correctly, air vents fail or the boiler water level is off. Hot water boilers can lose pressure from small leaks or a failing expansion tank. In basements, older floor drains and sewer laterals can back up in heavy rain, and many buildings rely on sump or ejector pumps.

Water heaters in city utility rooms are often in tight spaces with older venting, which matters when a replacement is planned. Our technicians check venting, gas supply and drainage as part of any water heater or boiler visit.

If a problem affects more than one unit, let us know when you call so we can plan access to the boiler room, meters and shared lines.

Service area and travel

Our Chicago crews work out of our Des Plaines shop, so the northwest and north sides are the shortest trips. South side neighborhoods like Hyde Park are covered by the same Chicago schedule, and we plan those visits around traffic and building access so the technician arrives with the right parts.

We focus on the city and the nearby northwest suburbs rather than the whole metro area. If your address sits well outside the neighborhoods listed here, call 773-250-6060 and we will tell you honestly whether the trip makes sense for the job.

Our office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, closed Sunday. Same-day visits are often possible when the schedule allows, especially for no-heat calls in cold weather.
